2. Information We Collect

When you use our website or make a purchase, we may collect:

  • Phone number

  • Billing and delivery address

  • Identity number (where required for event verification)

  • Order history

  • IP address and browser/device data

  • Website analytics data via WordPress internal tools

All payments are processed securely via PayFast.
Slam Dank Events does not store card or banking details.


3. How We Use Your Information

Your information is used to:

  • Process ticket and merchandise purchases

  • Verify identity at event entry

  • Send event updates or important announcements

  • Provide customer support

  • Improve our website and services

  • Prevent fraud and payment abuse

We do not sell personal data.


4. POPIA Compliance

Slam Dank Events complies with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).

Your data is:

  • Stored securely on WordPress-hosted servers

  • Accessed only by authorized personnel

  • Retained only as long as required for operational, legal, and tax purposes

You may request access, correction, or deletion of your data by emailing Sales@slam-dank.com.


TICKET TERMS & EVENT POLICY

5. Ticket Sales

Tickets may be sold via:

  • Slam-dank.com

  • Quicket (subject to Quicket’s own terms)

This policy applies to tickets purchased directly on Slam-dank.com.


6. Age Policy

Events are 18+ unless otherwise stated.

Valid ID may be required at entry.

Anyone under 18 must be accompanied and supervised by a parent or legal guardian at all times.

Failure to present valid ID may result in denied entry without refund.


7. Ticket Transfers

Tickets may be transferred by contacting Sales@slam-dank.com before the event.

Entry may be denied if identification does not reasonably match ticket records.

This protects legitimate buyers from fraud and duplication.


REFUND POLICY

8. Event Cancellation

If an event is cancelled:

  • Full refunds will be issued.

  • Refunds will be processed via the original payment method through PayFast.

  • Processing times depend on banks and payment providers.


9. Event Postponement

If an event is postponed:

  • Tickets remain valid for the new date.

  • You may request a refund within 7 days of the postponement announcement.

  • Refund requests after that window may not be approved.


10. Line-Up Changes

Artist line-ups are subject to change.

Line-up changes do not automatically qualify for refunds.

In exceptional circumstances, refund requests may be reviewed case-by-case.


11. Personal Scheduling Conflicts

If you cannot attend:

  • You may request a transfer via Sales@slam-dank.com.

  • Slam Dank does not guarantee refunds for personal conflicts.

  • We encourage early communication so we can assist where possible.


12. Fraud & Chargebacks

If a ticket is used for entry and a chargeback is initiated:

  • Slam Dank Events reserves the right to dispute the chargeback.

  • Entry logs and verification records may be used as proof of service delivery.

  • Fraudulent chargebacks may result in blacklisting and legal action.

We encourage customers to contact us directly to resolve issues before initiating disputes.


ALCOHOL & CONDUCT POLICY

13. Licensed Alcohol

Alcohol may be sold under valid licensing.

By entering the event, you confirm that:

  • You are legally permitted to consume alcohol.

  • You will do so responsibly.

Service may be refused at any time.


14. Intoxication & Removal

Slam Dank Events reserves the right to:

  • Refuse alcohol service

  • Remove intoxicated individuals

  • Remove disruptive or unsafe attendees

Removal due to misconduct does not qualify for a refund.


15. Prohibited Items & Behaviour

Strictly prohibited:

  • Illegal drugs

  • Weapons

  • Violence or threats

  • Harassment

  • Property damage

Violations may result in:

  • Immediate removal

  • Blacklisting

  • Law enforcement involvement

No refunds will be issued in such cases.


COMMUNITY CODE – NO HATE / NO HARASSMENT

Metal culture is intense, expressive, and loud – but it is not hateful.

Slam Dank Events is committed to creating a space that is:

  • Inclusive

  • Respectful

  • Safe for all backgrounds

We do not tolerate:

  • Racism

  • Sexism

  • Homophobia

  • Transphobia

  • Religious discrimination

  • Harassment of any kind

Moshing and crowd energy are part of the culture – targeted aggression, intimidation, or harassment are not.

Anyone engaging in hateful or abusive conduct may be removed without refund and banned from future events.

Heavy music. Strong community. Zero hate.


MEDIA RELEASE & CONTENT RIGHTS

16. Photography & Video Recording

By attending a Slam Dank Event, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • The event may be photographed and recorded.

  • Your image, likeness, voice, or appearance may appear in event media.

Slam Dank Events reserves the right to use:

  • Photos

  • Videos

  • Livestream footage

  • Promotional content

For marketing, social media, press, advertising, and future promotional purposes without compensation.

If you do not wish to appear in media, you must notify event staff upon entry.


MERCHANDISE POLICY

17. Shipping

Merchandise is shipped nationwide in South Africa.

Shipping timelines vary by product and courier.

Each product page outlines its specific shipping details.

We use different courier partners depending on order requirements.


18. Damaged or Defective Items

If you receive a damaged or defective item:

  • Notify us within 7 days of delivery.

  • Slam Dank will cover return shipping.

  • Items are subject to inspection before refund or replacement approval.


19. Size Responsibility

Customers are responsible for selecting the correct size.

Refunds are not provided for incorrect size selection.

Exchanges may be considered where stock allows. Additional shipping costs may apply.


LIABILITY & FORCE MAJEURE

20. Assumption of Risk

By attending a Slam Dank Event, you acknowledge that:

  • Live events carry inherent risks.

  • You attend voluntarily.

  • Slam Dank Events is not liable for injury, loss, theft, or damage except where required by law.


21. Force Majeure

Slam Dank Events is not liable for cancellations, delays, or changes caused by events beyond reasonable control, including:

  • Government regulations

  • Weather

  • Power outages

  • Venue issues

  • Acts of God

Slam Dank Events reserves the right of admission.

Entry may be refused or revoked for safety, legal compliance, or operational reasons without obligation to provide a refund.
