Slam Dank Fest Vol.2, in partnership with District, announces the South African debut of legendary death metal pioneers Massacre (USA). For the first time in their career, the band will perform live in South Africa, with Cape Town confirmed as one of only two exclusive shows.
This co-hosted event marks a landmark moment for the local extreme metal community, bringing one of the genre’s most respected international names to the Mother City.

Slam Dank Fest Vol.2 presents the Johannesburg edition of Massacre’s first-ever South African appearance. Taking place in Kempton Park as part of the official Slam Dank camping weekend, this show forms one of two exclusive performances in the country.
The event represents a major step forward for the South African metal scene, reinforcing Slam Dank’s commitment to delivering internationally recognized extreme metal acts to local audiences.

The Eternal Darkness

We Had the privellage of hosting Eternal Katastrophy from Angola. These death metal masters were runners-up in the last Wacken Battle of the Bands. They performed alongside Mithras Crowned from Johannesburg, performing their first Cape Town show.

DEFEATED SANITY

Defeated Sanity ravaged South African shores for the first time in 2024. This was to ignite the chaos of their ‘Final Impetus Tour’. Slam Dank proudly hosted the carnage of their tour’s first shows.
KRAANIUM
