Our Journey and Milestones
Slam Dank Productions began its journey with a bold vision to redefine live events, launching with our debut showcase featuring Kraanium in Cape Town, Pretoria, and Johannesburg in February 2024.
Building on this success, we brought the legendary Defeated Sanity to Cape Town and Johannesburg in July 2024, solidifying our reputation for delivering world-class performances.
March 2025 marks a new milestone as we will celebrate the MMD Records 20th Anniversary at the iconic Lichtenstein Castle in Hout Bay, Cape Town, creating an unforgettable event in a stunning location.

Previous Events​
We Had the privellage of hosting Eternal Katastrophy from Angola. These death metal masters were runners-up in the last Wacken Battle of the Bands. They performed alongside Mithras Crowned from Johannesburg, performing their first Cape Town show.

This epic line-up is graced our shores at Daisy Jones Bar (Stellenbosch, Cape Town) on the 15th of November 2026. This was one for the books!

WEAPONS OF MASS DISTORTION

The mosh pits were alive and the distortion was dialled to 11 at Weapons of Mass Distortion, a brutal special edition metal gig hosted by SlamDank Productions in Stellenbosch.Â
MMD 20 FESTIVAL

This trance festival was held in collaboration with MMD Records to celebrate their 20th Anniversary. We will be throwing a banger of an event with multiple international and local trance artists and DJs.
DEFEATED SANITY

Defeated Sanity ravaged South African shores for the first time in 2024. This was to ignite the chaos of their ‘Final Impetus Tour’. Slam Dank proudly hosted the carnage of their tour’s first shows.
KRAANIUM

Slam Dank kicked off 2024 with the renowned slam death metal band Kraanium for a SA tour. The high-energy event was a brutal show at all venues.
